Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her acting career in supporting roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). Then, she portrayed the role of reporter Willa McPherson in FX's show Dirt. Also, she played an appearance as a support character on FX's short-lived drama The Ex List. She played the role of a young Moira O'Hara in the debut season of FX's American Horror Story, and as Kaylee in the season's third. Jessie Anderson was the character in the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie played the role of Sophie in the NBC show This Is Us. She also voices of various characters in the animated comedy series Family Guy. Since 2019she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother at the age of 10. They went through a few moves before finally settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she first began to pursue an interest in acting, photography and singing. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 years old, to pursue her acting career.
